The servers in Rheni’s computing centre are solar-powered since August 2022. 48 solar panels are producing ample energy to operate the servers and fill a rechargeable lithium-ion battery during sunlight hours. The battery takes over as soon as the sun goes down. Also in the domain of mobility, Rheni is moving from Diesel-powered four-wheelers to electric-powered two-wheelers. All these “green” ideas have worked well from August til October. Unfortunately, during the month of November in our latitude, the days become too short, the sunlight too weak, and the temperatures too low. This means back to Diesel power and electric current from the grid and pray for the sun to come back in March…

Robotic Process Automation comes in two variants: attended and unattended. In attended RPA, the human user sits in front of his computer, presses a button and watches closely what the robot does. In unattended RPA, the robot is working on its own physical or virtual machine without being supervised. Watch our collection of short videos on RPA  where both aspects are discussed.

There is a new video series on Business Process Automation. The previous video series is on the Business Process Management System YAWL. It focuses on using the system and is over 90% hands on tutorials. This new series tries to fill the gap about more general practical tips on Business Process Automation that are independent of YAWL.
